Feel free to reach out

Community changed my experience of TSW entirely. We are often isolated in our own pain but we do not have to be. When I connected with others who were like me, I saw a change in myself I did not expect. I no longer felt different or weird. There was an instant acceptance and understanding. I did not need to explain or defend myself. I could simply be me. A powerful community is one that has the best interests of its members. Find a strong, positive community, and you will learn tools to survive and thrive!

There is an Instagram community for TSW warriors. Simply search “@tsw_” and many accounts will pop up. There are many inspiring accounts out there! I share my TSW journey on Instagram at @tsw_ trooper. If you wish to connect or ask a question, feel free to DM me.

There is an active online community on Facebook as well. There are a number of helpful Facebook support groups depending on your needs: ITSAN Topical Steroid Withdrawal Support Group, Oral Immunosuppressants in TSW, TSW Caregivers Rock, Support Group for NMT - TSW etc.

Interestingly, a Reddit Topical Steroid Withdrawal thread has also popped up and I do enjoy their debates and discussions about their experiences.

TSW meetups are held in small groups all around the world. I suggest starting with an online connection and going from there! I hope you find lifelong friends in this journey.
